Hilton Arcadia Resort

A mainstay of Phuket tourism and hospitality for a decade or so now, the Hilton Arcadia Resort has firmly established itself as one of the leading hotels in the region. Despite not having a beach front location. it more than makes up with its wide-range of facilities such as 2 huge swimming pools and a number of tennis courts. The rooms are adequately sized and the balcony does offer a fine view of the sea. The restaurants offer very tasty meals from various parts of the world and the service offered here is of the highest quality.

Royal Cliff Beach Resort

Easily at least in the top 3 hotels in Pattaya, the Royal Cliff Beach Resort defines what luxury tourism is all about. The location is very convenient since it is in Central Pattaya, where traveling in and out of the city center is easily accessible. Each well-sized room offers either a cliff view or a sea view with a big balcony over-looking each view. One of the main highlights though is the swimming pool because there are at least 3 big pools for customer use as well as another 2 big kiddy pools. Restaurants are very well ranged as there are many different types of cuisine such as Japanese, Chinese, Thai, and Italian, all serving award-winning dishes. Conveniently priced, this hotel is one of the most popular in Pattaya, bringing in a lot of customers partly due to the fact that Pattaya is only 1 1/2 hours drive away from Bangkok.

Ban Laem Sai Resort & Spa

Not a well-known or part of a big hotel chain, Ban Laem Sai resort offers much more than an unfamiliar name. Even though Samui is kind of far off Bangkok (around 8 hours drive + 30 minutes on a boat but air travel possible), you’re guaranteed to be offered the sight of one of the most spectacular beaches you’ve ever seen. All the rooms are actually chalets and villas, making them very spacious, and each offer, of course, a great view of the beach. The spa is highly recommended, offering the famous Thai massage. There is only one restaurant, but its dishes include Thai, Japanese, as well as Italian. Most importantly, the service is brilliant and the staff are always full of smiles. Predictably, the prices are quite high but it is all worth it, guaranteed.

Dusit Resort and Polo Club

Personally, this is my favorite hotel that I have ever stayed in Thailand. My first time at this hotel was 11 years ago and I’ve been coming back to this hotel at least once or twice a year. Why do I like this hotel so much? Frankly, there are many reasons as to why. For a kid, which I was the 11 years ago, there was this huge game room filled with endless fun, as well as a big kiddy pool. For adults and teenagers, there are 2 very big and beautiful swimming pools that resemble an island in an ocean and several tennis courts. Highlight though, is the horse riding, a rarity in many hotels throughout Thailand. The rooms are spacious and service is offered at the highest level. The food is simply “delicious”, especially the breakfast. Overall, an excellent place to go to if you want a beautiful beach view that isn’t too far away from Bangkok (2 1/2 hours drive) and at an excellent price as well.

The Millennium Hilton

Another hotel considered as one of the best hotels in Bangkok, the Millennium Hilton is fairly young compared to other hotels throughout the capital. Established as recent as 2005, this hotel combines it’s fantastic and convenient location with splendid service and food. Each room is well-adequately sized and spaced out nicely. The facilities offered are very modern, topped off by a stunning swimming pool and sun deck overlooking the Chao Phraya river. The restaurants are one of the main features of this hotel, the highlight being “Flow”, a contemporary cuisine offering various tastes around the globe. After a meal, pop up for some drinks at the 360 Lounge at the top of the hotel and watch in awe as the world goes by. Not as pricey and excellent value for money.

The Peninsula Hotel

Considered as one of the top 3 hotels in Bangkok, the Peninsula Hotel lives up to its name after the success of the Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong. This hotel is one of the most booked hotels in Thailand and is right up there competing with the Oriental in terms of customers and tourists served per year. One of the most well known aspects of the Peninsula Hotel is its well-refined cuisines, boasting Cantonese, Mediterranean, and of course, the award-winning Thai cuisine, Thiptara. The rooms are very spacious and luxurious, offering, of course a fine view of the Chao Phraya river. On the pricey side as well, but all the more worthwhile to spend.

The Oriental Hotel

Widely recognized as the best hotel in Thailand as well as one of the best hotels in the world, The Oriental Hotel is the ultimate paradise for tourists to Bangkok. Even though it is known for its world-class service, there is more to this hotel than just its service. The rooms are of the highest standard and each offer a view of the beautiful Chao Phraya river, which illuminates up beautifully at night. All the restaurants offer an exquisite taste of cuisines from all over the world, in particular Le Normandie, arguably the best restaurant in Thailand. Even if though it’s a bit too pricey, The Oriental Hotel offers more than your money’s worth in return.
